How you plan to exit your business is potentially the most emotional topic you’ll address while building it. It’s a very personal decision that should generally be addressed when your business is still young, as it will influence many of the decisions you make along the way.
I recently had a meeting with a corporate client who feels that one of their high performing senior managers, lack the “softer” skills and intuitive mindset necessary to keep her team committed and motivated. Another lady approached me because she was uncertain about a business decision that she had to take. It looked like a good deal but “something” (her gut feel) was telling her to be careful.
