A young man entered heaven, shaking his fist at God; "Why didn't you do something about all the suffering in the world I just left?"
"I did", replied God "I created you."
You can use your time on this precious Earth complaining about what others are doing on it, or consciously determining what you are doing on it.
- Do you want the world to be more loving? Become more loving yourself.
- Do you want it to be less violent? Become less violent yourself.
Make the changes you want, where you have the most leverage - in yourself.
In fact, it is the only place you can make them. You can change yourself, but no-one else - not even a non-physical Teacher - can change you.

Reiki is a complementary healing therapy, founded by Mikao Usui in Japan, in the early part of the the 9th century. Reiki, pronounced 'ray-key', is a gentle and effective system of healing which activates the body's own natural ability to heal itself. As a natural healing system, it can benefit everyone, from young babies to adults and is a safe, non-invasive treatment.
The name Reiki originates from the Japanese words 'rei' meaning 'universal' and 'ki' meaning 'energy'. This universal energy is channeled through the practitioner to the recipient and works on all levels of the mind, body, emotion and spirit, allowing for total harmony and balance to be restored. Reiki can also promote self development, therefore allowing you to be at your optimum to deal with all aspects of life.
Treatments with Reiki energy reduce stress within the body, thereby inducing a state of relaxation. The body can then be allowed to begin the healing process. It is an extremely relaxing experience and the benefits are immediate. All diseases and ailments can be helped with Reiki and it is safe to use in conjunction with other complementary therapies and conventional medical treatments. Reiki produces a feeling of total wellbeing and this has a very positive effect on the immune system. Please click on Reiki Treatments FAQ for more information.
Reiki is a very easy therapy to learn and as it has no religious connections or belief systems, it is available to everyone who may wish to learn it. Courses are held throughout the year. For more informationClick Here to contact me.
Energy therapies have been around for thousands of years. Energy is called 'ki' in Japan, whilst in China energy is referred to as 'qi' or 'chi'. China and Japan both have exercise methods that are based on using this energy, Tai Chi, Chi Kung or Qi Gong. In India, energy is called 'prana' and is used in the practice of Yoga. |
